This is due to using fake parts as the belt breaks off at just clock 17k km

Valves bend
You will need to rebuild back ur engine and this cost a fortune.
So fr my advice go for genuine parts as although its a bit expensives yet its reliable and save.

ReplyDeleteDirty ,sludge contaminant Atf gear oil (black) / clogged aluminium auto filter.
To all spectrans especially all Newbies and Existing Owner pls take extra attentions on how to prolongs and expands the life span of ur gear box system.
As the most important why you got a faulty gear box such as:-
1. Gear jerks once accelerates
2. Gear shifts is not smooth
3. Once engage at 'D' the car take several seconds to move forward..
Why? This is due most members never knows how to do service maintenance on their gear transmission system.
1. Spectran must go fr full flushing system every 40 k km interval
2. Must used ori Atf SpIII gear oil specially made for spectra.
3. Must replace the ori aluminium Auto Filter Assy.
3. Must clean and service ur auto oil sump pan and replaced ur ori Gasket.
So this is how to maintain ur gear system and u will feel
1. Smooth gear shift between gears
2. Smooth accelerations
3. No jerks or perks
4. The red atf fluid not even cools down ur transmission.
5. It lubricates and protects all internal parts esp ur Torque Converter, solenoid,auto clutch planetary gears etc.

ReplyDeleteShows 1 of our spectran having breaks off Timing Belt as its used overdue
More than 60 k km.
For yr info spectran should replaced the Timing Belt every 50-55k km interval.
As this is the critical time u should taking care of. Dont delays, but once it snap off theres no turning back.
Pls go for reliable genuine parts and or I would highly Recommended Ori Dayco timing belt full kit. As for Dayco belt its warranty up to 100k km usage. Yet its a heavy duty high temp belt,comes with heavy duty tensioner bearings,idler pulley bearing etc etc.

ReplyDeleteLeaks ,dirty clogged Cooling Coil on ur Air Cond system
As most spectrans n newbies are not awares of how to take extra cautious on how to maintain ur air conditioning components parts, esp the Cooling Coil.
Why u will recvd hot air instead of cool fresh air?
This is due to as originally our spectra should comes with a special slot compartments for installing ur Cabin Filter.
This is the main factor where if u dont install the ori Cabin Filter, all dirt,dust moister will trap to yr cooling coil.
The photos shows that how bad and dirty is ur c.coil and from this scenario at last resort u will had a leaks coil where the gas will comes out and dry and as a result hot air instead of cool ones.
U need to do full service by take off the whole dashboard in order to replace the faulty cooling coil and need $$$$$$ of course!!
So to prevent faulty cooling coil , pls Install the ori genuine Cabin Filter (2 pcs)

ReplyDeleteOuter part of Driveshafts ( CV Joint ).
The important components f our spectra which is driven from Front Wheel Drive s actually is trasmitted thru the Driveshafts which is connected to the flywheel gear from the transmission.
Mosty driveshafts faulty is due to wear n tear from the cv boot that leaks out greese and dirty and water can easily entered the inner parts where bearings s situated. From this mechanism will results corrosion or rusted bearing which make a sound..tak tak tak .when mae u turn r corners.

Pls be advice i woukd like to advice all spectrans to be more cautious on taking good care of the cleanliness of T.Body.
This is because t.body have 3 sensitives sensors attached to it.
As in the pictures shows it is full of carbon sludge where it will declined the performance of yr spectra.
Do service ur t.body every 10k-15k km interval using special additives Throttle Body and Injector cleaner.
Secondly make sure yr using Ori Air Filter in order to generates clean cools air enters the T.body.

ReplyDeleteFaulty, leaking ,rusted water pump.
Well Spectrans as u noticed in the photo above showing The Water Pump that is badly corrodes.
Function of water pump is to pump the coolant water and generates it thru out the the engine. In this process the cooant purposed is to cools down the engine tempretures where it touches above 85-90'C. This is to prevent OVERHEATING in our Spectra Engines.
For ur Info pls dont ever drive when the car overheats as ths could leads to
1. If the indicator needle touches the marked ' H ' ( hot ) pls stop or pull over.
2. If u still drives and ignored the warning ,ur spectra will suddenly past off.
3. This will indicates that u will have a burnt cylinder head gasket.
4. Bend cylinder head block.
Normally due to coolant leaks out that makes ur car Overheats. Leaks can be faulty to several component parts such as:-
1. Water pump
2. Radiator tank
3. Radiator hose n cap
4. Thermostat
5. Thermo housing upper n lower.
6. Faulty radiator motor fan
7. Faulty acond motor fan
8. Tempreture switch sensors.

ReplyDeletePower Steering Pressure Hose
As u notice on the photo shows the power steering fluid is leaking out with a great pressure( in red fluid) . This is due to faulty of pressure hose and need to be replaced at once.
As our steering is run thru a hydraulic power steering motor pumps and generates via the power steering fluid. So pls always checked the levels of p.steering oil in high level. Do flushing every 15k km, as this could prevent the fluid from contaminated.
As this pressure hose comes in 2 sections ,upper part and lower part it selves.need the genuine parts do reach me.anytime.

ReplyDeletePCV valve hose
As shown in the picture indicates a crack had taken placed and pls be advice to replaced it as this mechanism will downgrade the performance n efficiency of yr engine.
The functions of PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve takes unburned gases that have slipped past the pistons, escaping into the crankcase from the combustion chambers, and funnels them back into the intake manifold. Here they are recycled and re-burned.
This cycle should go smoothly in order to have a excellant accelerations n top performance on yr engine.

ReplyDeleteCrack bottom line radiator tank and clogged rusted radiator tank.
This is to info all spectrans to take good care of their component parts esp the Radiator tank where it will leaks out coolant and will result overheats.
If u are unaware of the temp indicator that touches mark " H " shows the engine overheats at 140-150'Celcius.This could blown off yr overhead that ends in bend cylinder head and gasket burnt.
Do examine the conditions of yr coolant that most are unaware to nflush it out. I would recommend a special coolant ie Motul Inugel coolant that really cools down engine and in the same time lubricates it. Need to flush every 6 months or 10-15k km.

ReplyDeleteSpectra complete Brake Piston Callipers
Pls be informed to take and always inspect yr brake system especially any leaking via its piston callipers. This is due to crack of piston oil seals rings and O rings as well.as it crack brake fluid leaks out and water can easily enters in that cause corrosion and badly damage ur piston linings.
Pls be aware again if the piston is still in good condition and not badly corrodes Spectran can just get Ori Brake Bit seals to correct it.
But if it corrodes badly u had no choice to get the whole sets Brake Callipers assy to replace it.

ReplyDeleteSpectra Crankshaft inner Timing Pulley
The photo shows a V crack via its pulley is due to cheap timing belt used and idler pulley is not properlyt align. This manner can either damage ur Timing Pulley and more severely occurs is SLIP TIMING BELT. pls be aware on this matter. need the parts can post in yr comment here.

For cylinder head mainly u need to do polished and grind valve for top overhauled, using new sets ori gasket .
For piston block normally we can replaced the piston ring,conrod bearing and gasket too.

It happen to one member spectran facing air cond motor fan falulty.
As the workshop replaced the motor fan only which is not genuine parts and had made several modification on its wiring and bypass avoiding via the temp switch sensors. As a result after few days he come across a short circuits where severely damage and melt the main Fuse Box which destroy the whole fuse and engine harness wire socket, $$$$$
So from the incidence pls be advice not to used unauthorised parts and if need more clarification pks call 013 7849798 or 017 7200466.

Pls inspect ur inlet hose fr pcv hose in terms of crack due to excessive of heat n wear n tear,this faulty can affect the engine performance.....

If u come across leaking of engine oil via the upper part between the valve cover roker assy and the cylinder head block, dont wait as u ought to replaced the wear n tear gasket that leaks oil out.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to highlight to all spectrans on beware on using unauthorised parts such as immitation,reconds parts like alternator , reconds motor fan,recond radiator motor where u will end up with a short circuit to the 2 main fuse box terminals situated at ur engine bay and one sets via inside the dashboard. As once short circuit occurs it will directly burnt and melts all yr wiring n fuses.
For ur info, a complete sets of main fuse box assy cost at 3k-5k depending on yr damage.
